Ausklang I (mit Franui & Friends)
A new festival will take place at the Tyrol Festival Erl from 4 to 6 October 2024. Musicbanda Franui, which has become known as a ‘transformer between classical, folk, jazz and contemporary chamber music’ and has been regularly sold out and acclaimed in Erl for many years, will act as the musical host. During the festival weekend, Erl also declares itself the northernmost outpost for the South Tyrolean custom of Törggelen: Törggelen dishes are served in the village inns and at the event site - accompanied by the best wine from South Tyrol at all events. Ausklang I The first note belongs to the tuba, the official ‘Instrument of the Year 2024’. Few play it as virtuosically as Andreas Martin Hofmeir, who has travelled the world as a soloist and chamber musician, co-founder of La Brass Banda and professor at the Mozarteum Salzburg. Together with harpist Andreas Mildner, he plays great songs and opera arias - from Schubert to Wagner - on the tuba. The fantastic young woodwind quintet Dandelion keeps intervening. The ‘Diatonic Expeditions’ respond with Styrian accordions, hammered dulcimer, harp, vocals and bass clarinet. In the second part of the evening, the young Simply Quartet takes to the stage, having conquered the world's major festivals and concert halls in a very short space of time. With soprano Nikola Hillebrand, the Musicbanda Franui delves into the world of 19th century song and operetta.
